The Account Executive will handle both financial reporting and day-to-day bookkeeping for KDI Garments Sdn. Bhd. This role covers a full accounting spectrum — from preparing invoices and managing payments to producing monthly management reports.

As the company is in expansion mode, this position will temporarily include tasks normally assigned to an Accounting Assistant until the team grows.

Key Responsibilities - Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Manage full set of accounts (AR, AP, GL) using Xero.
  • Record all sales, purchases, and financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, quotations, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Perform bank reconciliation, petty cash management, and data entry.
  • Track bills, utilities, and supplier payments to ensure proper scheduling.
  • Maintain up-to-date accounting records and filing systems.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly management reports and cash flow summaries.
  • Assist management in budget tracking and project costing.
  • Highlight any financial discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

Audit & Compliance

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, SME Corp, and MIDA for company submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements (SSM, LHDN, SST).
  • Support external audit and ensure timely completion of closing.

HR & Administrative Support

  • Assist in monthly payroll data preparation and journal entries.
  • Record staff claims, advances, and allowances for month-end processing.
  • Provide support to HR & Production for cross-department documentation.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in full set of accounts (SME background preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Xero Accounting Software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills in Malay & basic English.
  • Able to start work soon.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM2,500.00 per month
