The IT Sales Executive / Business Development Executive (IT) plays a key role in supporting the Business Development team by providing strong technical expertise to communicate the capabilities, features, and integrations of the GreenBOS and Squarecloud platforms.

This role bridges technology with business needs—ensuring clients clearly understand how the solutions fit their operational, energy, and digital transformation requirements. The candidate will support customers across pre-sales, onboarding, and post-sales stages, ensuring smooth communication between the BD team, the client, and the technical development team.

The ideal candidate is technically competent, proactive, articulate, customer-oriented, and presents a professional image for frequent client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Join BD meetings to explain product technicalities to clients

· Prepare product demos and conduct platform walkthroughs

· Translate client requirements into technical specifications

· Work with the development team on feature requests or customisations

· Provide technical documentation for proposals

· Support onboarding by verifying data formats, templates, and system readiness

· Troubleshoot technical questions from prospects during the sales process

· Ensure BD team has the latest product updates and materials

· Customises solutions based on client needs

Job Description:

1. Pre-Sales Support

  • Participate in BD meetings to explain technical aspects of the GreenBOS and Squarecloud platforms.
  • Prepare and deliver product demos, platform walkthroughs, and technical presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Translate customer business requirements into technical specifications, scope documents, and solution frameworks.
  • Provide technical insights to support the creation of proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Assist BD team in customizing solution packages based on industry verticals (e.g., commercial buildings, manufacturing, hospitality, utilities, etc.).

2. Sales Enablement & Technical Support

  • Act as the technical representative during sales discussions, addressing product-related queries, system architecture, integrations, and data requirements.
  • Ensure the BD team has the latest technical updates, product documents, demo decks, and feature release notes.
  • Validate technical feasibility of client requests and advise BD on suitable solution approaches.
  • Support the BD Manager in closing deals through strong technical engagement and customer confidence-building.

3. Client Onboarding & Implementation Support

  • Support onboarding processes by verifying client data formats, templates, onboarding checklists, and system readiness.
  • Liaise between the client and the development team to ensure accurate interpretation of technical requirements.
  • Track and coordinate technical deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting or escalation pathways during early implementation stages.

4. Collaboration With Development & Product Teams

  • Communicate client feedback, feature suggestions, and customization requirements to the development team.
  • Work closely with software and engineering teams to review technical requests, API integrations, and new features.
  • Test new functionalities before release and update the BD team on changes.
  • Work closely with software and engineering teams to ensure proper solution deployment.
  • Offer ongoing technical support, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact between customers and the software development team.
  • Perform additional ad hoc duties when needed.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical documents, solution diagrams, integration maps, and system specifications for proposals and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates related to technical checkpoints and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reusable demo environments, templates, and product decks.
