Sales Executive, Food &Nutrition
The Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth of its assigned market segment by developing deep customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. With strong sales acumen, market knowledge, and product understanding, the Sales Executive will inspire customers with innovative ingredient solutions. Working closely with Product Management and Customer Service, the Sales Executive ensures top-tier commercial and technical support. This role reports to the Segment Leader.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute sales activities nationwide within the assigned segment
- Manage and grow existing accounts; identify and acquire new customers
- Organize frequent face-to-face customers visits to capture new potential leads
- Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with customers
- Prepare offers and maintain records in the CRM system (Salesforce)
- Lead customer briefings and develop and convert a strong project pipeline
- Develop customer retention strategies and support promotional campaigns
- Analyze market trends, monitor competition, and define action plans
- Support budget planning and customer demand forecasting
- Represent IMCD at customer meetings, trade fairs, and industry events
Requirements:
- Degree in food technology, nutrition, or a related technical/commercial field
- Proven sales experience in the food or nutrition industry; segment-specific expertise is a plus
- "Hunter" mentality with a drive to achieve and exceed goals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented mindset with strong planning and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM tools preferred
- Fluent in local language and English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel regularly within the country
