Description

Responsibilities

Surface Preparation

  • Assist in clearing and preparing work sites by removing debris, vegetation, and existing pavement materials.
  • Assist with excavation and grading as needed.
  • Set up traffic control measures, including cones, barriers, and signs.

Pavement Resurfacing

  • Spread, level, and compact asphalt or concrete using hand tools and machinery.
  • Assist in pouring, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces.
  • Operate basic equipment such as rakes, shovels, tampers, and power tools.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Operate small machinery such as plate compactors, jackhammers, and concrete saws under supervision.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.

Safety Compliance

  • Follow all workplace safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

General Labour and Support

  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist skilled workers as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at the worksite.

Code & Ethic Works

  • Attendance to site as scheduled.
  • Report to team leader if have emergency or any medical leave.
  • Dress code at site must be proper and follow guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent. 
  • Prior experience in road maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long hours.
