About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Executive to join the dynamic team at Ideal Gemilang Resources Sdn Bhd in Port Klang, Selangor. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, from bookkeeping to financial reporting, to support the growth and success of our logistic businesses.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Provide support and advice to clients on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving strategies
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and special requests as needed

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a small accounting practice or with small business clients
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as SQL, Auto-count
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • Understanding of relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
