About the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is an exciting and pivotal role as the Head of Travel Marketing at Highlight Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd. As a full-time position based in Klang, Selangor, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of impactful online and offline marketing strategies to drive growth and increase brand awareness for the company's diverse range of travel offerings.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive online and offline marketing plans to promote the company's travel packages, tours, and related services including online campaigns, digital content, and participation in trade shows and fairs.
  • Oversee digital marketing agencies in the creation of engaging digital content, including website updates, social media posts, email campaigns, and other marketing collateral
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts and support lead generation and conversion activities
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Manage and optimise the company's online presence, including website performance, search engine optimisation, and paid advertising campaigns
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to continually refine and improve strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the travel and tourism industry
  • Provide strategic counsel and recommendations to the management team on effective marketing strategies

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior marketing role within the travel or hospitality industry
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficient in digital marketing strategies, including search engine optimisation, social media, and content creation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for the travel and tourism industry, with a deep understanding of consumer trends and preferences
