About the role

Highlight Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Tour Operations Head to join their team in Klang, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and seamless execution of tour packages and monitor the performances of tour leaders and travel crew.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the tour packaging and travel services teams
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability
  • Train potential tour leaders and crew in the company philosophy and brand identity.
  • Monitor and analyse tour performance data to identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of tour itineraries, packages, and promotional materials
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the tour operations team
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and internal policies

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tour operations management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the travel and tourism industry, including trends, best practices, and regulations
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational goals
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of travel management software and data analysis tools
  • Degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration, or a related field
