About the role

We are seeking a talented HR Assistant to join our dynamic team at Permata Medina Sdn Bhd. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Human Resources and Recruitment functions, contributing to the overall success of our organisation. This is a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing administrative support to the HR team, including managing employee records, processing payroll and benefits, and coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assisting with the recruitment and selection process, including posting job advertisements, screening applications, and coordinating interviews
  • Maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Organising and facilitating employee training and development programmes
  • Responding to employee inquiries and providing guidance on HR-related matters
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support various HR initiatives and projects

What we're looking for

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an HR assistant or administrative role, preferably in a consulting or generalist HR environment
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR information systems
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to the growth and development of the organisation
