Position Overview:

The Protégé – RTW Civil & Structural Engineer Assistant will support the engineering team in the planning, design, coordination, and implementation of civil and structural works within active projects. This entry-level role provides valuable hands-on experience in a real-time working (RTW) environment, ideal for graduates who wish to build technical knowledge and practical skills in infrastructure and building construction.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
  • Or other related engineering fields

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing structural and civil design drawings, calculations, and reports.
  • Support the review and coordination of technical drawings and specifications with consultants and contractors.
  • Participate in site inspections, progress monitoring, and quality control assessments.
  • Assist in preparing method statements, construction schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in evaluating materials, costs, and timelines for project planning and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely execution of engineering works according to specifications and standards.
  • Help in preparing presentations and project proposals for clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct basic structural analysis and support in value engineering processes.
  • Maintain documentation of engineering revisions, RFIs, and site records.
  • Help ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, local regulations, and safety standards.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000, Civil 3D, or equivalent).
  • Basic knowledge of structural systems, construction techniques, and material properties.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in field and office tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and documentation procedures is an advantage.

Job Types: Contract, Fresh graduate

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ara Damansara: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
