Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive market expansion for our hair care brand. This role focuses on identifying and developing new sales channels, building distributor networks, and growing brand presence across groceries, salons, pharmacies, and other retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Channel & Market Expansion

  • Identify, develop, and manage new sales channels including distributors, grocery chains, salons, pharmacies, and specialty stores.
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard potential distributors and strategic partners.
  • Expand brand footprint in both modern trade and traditional trade channels.

Distributor & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, promotions, and consignment arrangements.
  • Monitor distributor performance and drive sales targets.

Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop go-to-market strategies aligned with brand positioning and pricing.
  • Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and consumer trends in the hair care industry.
  • Provide feedback to management on market response, packaging, and product improvements.

Sales Execution & Reporting

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and expansion KPIs.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and channel performance updates.
  • Work closely with marketing to support launches, sampling, and promotional activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support brand penetration with sales tools, presentations, and product training for partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in business development or sales, preferably in hair care, beauty, FMCG, or personal care.
  • Strong network in distributors, salons, groceries, or pharmacy channels is a plus.
  • Proven track record in opening new sales channels and closing partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven, hunter mindset with ability to work independently.
  • Willing to travel locally when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5, RM9,000.00 per month
