Technical Lead – Energy Audit

To oversee and lead both the Survey Team and Audit Report Team in executing energy audit projects with technical accuracy and compliance to EECA 2024, MS1525, ASHRAE, ISO 50002 and related standards. The Technical Lead acts as the company's subject matter expert (SME), ensuring the quality of audit findings and providing technical support to the Sales & Marketing team in developing energy efficiency solutions and client proposals.

Job Scope:-

I. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage both the Survey Team and Audit Report Team to ensure smooth coordination and timely project delivery.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work activities, ensuring effective communication between site and office teams.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate manpower resources and maintain team productivity and efficiency.

II. Energy Audit Execution

• Review collected data, load inventories, and technical measurements for completeness and reliability by Project Engineer.
• Guide report engineers in performing energy data analysis, benchmarking, and simulation where applicable.
• Oversee all technical activities during energy audit projects, from field data collection to analysis and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with EECA 2024, MS1525, ASHRAE, and other relevant standards.
• Validate survey data accuracy, measurement methods, and energy consumption analysis.
• Review and approve audit findings, baseline calculations, and energy-saving recommendations.
• Conduct technical review of audit reports before submission to clients.
• Ensure all technical deliverables comply with company quality standards.
• Maintain traceable documentation for field data, analysis, and reports.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for data collection and reporting processes.

III. Technical Expertise & Support

• Serve as the company's subject matter expert (SME) for energy efficiency and audit-related matters.
• Advise internal teams and management on technical improvements, regulatory compliance, and system optimization.
• Develop and enhance internal audit methodologies, tools, and documentation templates.
• Stay updated with latest technologies, energy regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in pre-sales meetings, site visits, and client presentations as the technical representative.

Job Requirement:-

I. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

II. Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Registered Energy Manager (REM), or equivalent

certification preferred.

III. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in energy audit for both commercial and

industrial

IV. Proven experience in leading technical teams (site and office-based).

V. Strong knowledge of MS1525, EECA 2024, IEEE, ASHRAE, ISO 50002 and related

energy efficiency standards.

VI. Proficient in energy data analysis, load profiling, and performance assessment.

VII. Familiar with measurement instruments for lighting, HVAC, Compressed Air System,

Boiler and electrical systems.

VIII. Solid understanding of building, Mechanical and Electrical systems (lighting, HVAC,

motors, compressed air, chillers, boilers).

IX. Excellent leadership and coordination abilities.

X. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

XI. Good report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

XII. Client-oriented with ability to translate technical information into business value.

XIII. Team player with mentoring and coaching ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM5,000.00 per month
