Job Description:

  1. Support Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing cost estimates for civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring they are both accurate and feasible.
  2. Budget Tracking: Collaborate with the engineering team to monitor and track project budgets, ensuring financial control and cost efficiency.
  3. Tendering and Contracts: Assist in the preparation of tender documents and help evaluate contractor bids for civil and structural works.
  4. Cost Reporting & Variance Analysis: Work with engineers to track and report on any cost variances or potential overruns, helping to keep the project within budget.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with Civil and Structural Engineers to understand project requirements and provide support in managing costs effectively.

Requirement:

  1. Education: A diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or within the construction, civil, or structural engineering industries.
  3. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of cost estimation software and an understanding of civil and structural engineering processes is advantageous.
  4. Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision, reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  6. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work alongside engineers and other professionals.
  7. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work efficiently under deadlines.
