About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer cum Site Supervisor to join our team at in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This full-time role will involve overseeing all interior design aspects of our renovation projects, from concept to completion, while also providing on-site supervision to ensure the successful delivery of each project.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their vision and design requirements, then developing creative and functional interior design concepts to meet their needs
  • Preparing detailed design plans, specifications and mood boards to effectively communicate the design intent
  • Sourcing suitable materials, furniture and fixtures within budget while ensuring quality and aesthetic standards
  • Coordinating with the construction team to oversee the implementation of the interior design on site
  • Monitoring project progress, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to the client's satisfaction
  • Providing regular updates to the client and the management team on project status

What we're looking for

  • A degree or diploma in Interior Design or a relevant field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working as an Interior Designer, preferably in the residential or commercial sectors
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering interior design projects from concept to completion
  • Strong technical design skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and other design software
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors and the wider project team
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
