About the role

Highlight Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Procurement Executive to join our team in Klang, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and managing our travel suppliers, ensuring we provide our clients with the best possible travel offerings and services.

What you'll be doing

  1. Negotiating and managing contracts with airlines, hotels, and other travel providers to secure the most competitive rates and favourable terms for our clients
  2. Researching and evaluating new travel suppliers to expand our portfolio and meet the evolving needs of our customers
  3. Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of service
  4. Collaborating with the sales and operations teams to understand client requirements and preferences, and identify the most suitable travel solutions
  5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all travel supplier agreements and pricing
  6. Providing regular reports and analysis on travel procurement activities and cost-saving initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a travel procurement or travel management role, preferably within the hospitality and tourism industry
  2. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to identify and leverage optimal supplier agreements
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and cost-saving opportunities
  4. Proficient in using travel booking and procurement software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  6. A passion for the travel industry and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
