Role: Merchant Acquiring Executive (Online eCommerce Acquisition)

This is a hunter role — high energy, fast action, and pure sales drive. You'll prospect, pitch, and close online merchants across Malaysia. From cold calls to warm demos, you'll be the face of senangPay to hundreds of digital businesses moving their payments online.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own Your Funnel: Prospect, qualify, and convert new online merchants through calls, WhatsApp, and social outreach.
  • Sell the Solution: Run impactful product demos that show merchants how senangPay simplifies online payments.
  • Win Fast, Win Often: Close deals across eCommerce, F&B, services, education, retail, and community sellers.
  • Drive the Numbers: Manage your pipeline in CRM and track leads through every sales stage.
  • Be Market-Smart: Spot emerging merchant segments, competitor trends, and new product opportunities.
  • Collaborate to Activate: Work with Onboarding and Support teams to ensure merchants go live and start transacting quickly.

Who You Are

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1–2 years' experience in outbound sales, telesales, or merchant acquisition (fintech or SME solutions preferred).
  • A true hunter — energetic, persuasive, and hungry for wins.
  • Excellent communication in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Confident with SMEs, founders, and digital entrepreneurs.
  • Familiar with Malaysia's online commerce ecosystem - understands eCommerce platforms, payment flows, and merchant pain points.
  • Hands-on with shopping cart plugins like Shopify, WooCommerce, EasyStore, and SiteGiant and knows how merchants integrate payment gateways into them.

What Success Looks Like

By Month 1:

  • Master senangPay's products, pricing, and CRM tools (Hubspot).
  • Start generating daily qualified leads and first merchant sign-ups.

By Month 3:

  • Closing 8–10 new merchants per month with active transactions.
  • Driving RM500K+ in monthly GTV from your own portfolio.
  • Building trust and repeat opportunities with eCommerce brands.

By Month 6:

  • Consistently hitting or exceeding your targets.
  • Known internally as one of the most aggressive closers on the floor.

By Month 12:

  • On track for Senior Sales Executive / Team Lead promotion.
  • Managing a growing merchant base delivering steady GTV growth.
  • You own your number. You close your deals. You win your quarter.
