About The Role
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented
Team Lead, Transaction Banking Merchant Acquiring, Partnership
to join our growing Transaction Banking team. This role will be instrumental in driving merchant acquisition strategies through effective partnerships, optimizing on-ground sales execution, and contributing to CASA growth for RHB. You will lead a team of acquisition specialists and work cross-functionally to ensure seamless merchant onboarding, activation, and usage.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support the Squad Lead in task planning to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives (Quest)
- Lead a team of two (2) in daily merchant prospecting, onboarding, and CASA acquisition through partnership channels
- Set clear acquisition targets and CASA utilization goals aligned to business strategy
- Drive team execution across the sales cycle – from lead generation and solution pitching to onboarding and activation
- Design and implement market walk strategies and territory coverage plans to maximize reach and productivity
- Monitor pipelines and report on key KPIs including merchant acquisition, CASA openings, and utilization rates
- Conduct joint field visits for coaching and ensure adherence to sales processes and quality standards
- Leverage data to analyze team performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Gather and share market feedback to influence merchant proposition and product development
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Ops, Risk, Legal) to resolve onboarding issues and improve merchant experience
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify and address training needs through structured coaching and knowledge-sharing
- Lead regular team stand-ups, reviews, and campaign planning sessions to build a performance-driven culture
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in transaction banking or merchant services
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with experience managing sales teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Data-savvy with ability to interpret reports and draw actionable insights
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth through partnerships
- Familiarity with CASA products, merchant acquiring solutions, and customer onboarding processes
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines related to banking and merchant services is a plus
