Job Summary
The Sales Manager at Maven Perfume will play a pivotal role in overseeing local and regional sales operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the sales team achieves performance targets. This position requires a strong leader with proven retail experience who can balance strategic direction with hands-on team development. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge in retail sales, customer experience, and channel distribution. They must be passionate about fragrance, embody the Maven brand, and deliver excellence through data-driven decision-making, strong client relationships, and sales team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations Oversight :
Lead and monitor day-to-day sales activities across all retail outlets and regional territories, ensuring alignment with business targets.
Recruitment and Training :
Plan, hire, and train new Sales Representatives to build a strong sales team capable of delivering consistent performance.
Sales Campaign Management :- Design, execute, and evaluate local and regional promotional campaigns to drive product awareness and increase revenue.
Budgeting and Forecasting :
Develop sales budgets, set revenue targets, approve operational expenditures, and manage resource allocation effectively.
Sales Performance Tracking :
Analyze key sales metrics (e.g., conversion rate, sales per outlet) to evaluate team performance and identify improvement areas.
Customer Issue Resolution :
Handle escalated customer complaints professionally and implement corrective measures to ensure satisfaction and brand loyalty.
Pricing and Discounts Strategy:
Define pricing frameworks and discount structures based on market trends, cost considerations, and competitor benchmarks.
Training Team:
Manage, guide, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed individual and collective sales performance targets.
Plan and conduct structured training sessions focused on enhancing product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement skills.
Assess team training needs regularly through performance reviews, feedback, and sales data to identify skill gaps.
Brand Representation:
Act as a representative of Maven Perfume in external meetings, exhibitions, partnerships, and negotiations.
Data-Informed Decision Making:
Utilize CRM, POS, and market analytics to guide business decisions around sales strategy, team deployment, and inventory.
Client Relationship Management:
Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key accounts and retail partners to encourage repeat business.
Sales Quota Management:
Set and monitor outlet and team-based sales targets to ensure consistent growth and achievement of company goals.
Sales Team Leadership:
Lead performance reviews, resolve conflicts, and cultivate a high-performance culture within the sales team.
Market Expansion:
Identify untapped or emerging markets and recommend entry strategies to expand Maven Perfume's market share.
Territory Planning:- Define sales territory strategies and ensure optimal coverage and effectiveness of the salesforce in each assigned region.
Experienced Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial or
leadership role.
Proven success in leading regional sales teams and achieving KPIs.
Experience in retail fragrance, cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG is highly preferred.
Strong background in sales data analysis and budget management.
History of building long-term B2C and B2B relationships.
Proficiency in CRM, POS systems, and data analytics tools.
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in the fragrance, beauty, cosmetics, or retail industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
