Key Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with company goals.
  • Support management in manpower planning, organization development, and succession planning.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.

2. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment activities for both local and foreign workers.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: job posting, screening, interview coordination, and offer process.
  • Liaise with government authorities and agencies on foreign worker applications and renewals (e.g., JTK, Immigration, MOHR).

3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, counselling, and investigations fairly and legally.
  • Maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Liaise with the Labour Office and other authorities on statutory matters when required.

4. Performance Management

  • Oversee the annual performance appraisal process and ensure timely completion.
  • Advise management on performance improvement plans and employee development actions.
  • Support departments in setting measurable KPIs and objectives.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Administer payroll operations in coordination with the Finance Department.
  • Review and update salary structures, allowances, and incentive schemes periodically.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRD Corp, Income Tax).

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and prepare annual training plans and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal/external training and track training effectiveness.
  • Support employee competency mapping and career development initiatives.

7. HR Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysia Employment Act 1955 and other relevant labour laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Oversee foreign worker management, work permit renewals, and hostel arrangements (if applicable).

8. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Collaborate with the HSE team on workplace safety and welfare initiatives.

Ensure compliance with DOSH, JKKP, and other occupational safety requirements related to HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/Payroll systems (e.g., SQL Payroll, HR2000).
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
