About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operation Executive to join our growing team, a leading event management company based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As an Operation Executive, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and execution of a wide range of events, from large-scale conferences to intimate corporate functions. This is a full-time role with opportunities for career progression within the dynamic and innovative organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor management, budget control, and on-site execution
  • Liaising with clients to understand their event objectives and translating them into detailed event plans and timelines
  • Managing a team of event staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of each event
  • Monitoring event performance and providing post-event analysis to clients
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the event experience and recommend improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and legal regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in event management or operations within the events industry
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients, vendors and team members
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to think on your feet and problem-solve effectively
  • Proficient in using event management software and MS Office suite
  • A passion for delivering exceptional event experiences and a keen eye for detail
