About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join The Big G' as an Event Operation, based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and execution of a variety of events and experiences for our clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborating with the marketing and events team to conceptualise, plan and deliver engaging, memorable and effective events
  • Overseeing all logistical aspects of events, including venue management, catering, guest registration, and audio-visual requirements
  • Managing event budgets and ensuring events are delivered within budget
  • Coordinating and liaising with vendors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating event success, providing post-event analysis and recommendations for improvement
  • Assisting with the promotion and marketing of events to maximise attendance and engagement

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in event management, preferably within the marketing and communications industry
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, vendors and colleagues
  • Proficiency in event planning software, budgeting tools and other relevant technologies
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event delivery
