We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer cum Supply Chain Assistant to join our growing manufacturing team in Tampoi, JB.

You will play a key role in supporting purchasing, inventory control, and logistics activities — ensuring smooth operations from supplier to production line.

Fresh graduates who are eager to learn and grow in the supply chain field are strongly encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily purchasing operations to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery terms.
  • Monitor inventory to ensure sufficient materials for production schedules.
  • Coordinate and follow up on raw material deliveries to support production.
  • Oversee movement of materials between warehouse and production line.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records.
  • Prepare purchasing and inventory reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve material shortages and prevent production downtime.
  • Ensure all purchasing and logistics activities comply with company policies and safety standards.
  • Support the Production Planner and Supply Chain team as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or warehouse operations are encouraged.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
  • 5.5-day workweek with alternate Saturdays off.
  • Willing to work in Tampoi, JB.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM4,200.00 per month
