Area Sales Manager

Job Requirement:
- Responsible to maintain an existing account base as well as identify and develop growth opportunities within assigned sector so to expand market coverage as well as market penetration.
- Also assist in implementing and monitoring the marketing plan. Carries out market surveys as agreed with the manager to formulate plans, evaluate market conditions and recommend appropriate next steps to maximize sales output.
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of annual budget for area of accountability.
- Identify and report potential sales growth opportunities and factors which could influence Brenntag's local marketing plans and objectives.
- Work with the assigned customer service representative and technical resources (internal and external) to ensure a level of service that meets customers' requirements.
- Establish strong business relationships with existing customer base and develop value relationships with potential clients to expand business.
- Utilize the Brenntag Sales Process and maintain in a timely manner the Customer Relationship Management database (Sales Force), as well as, complete all other assigned reporting requirements.
- Ensure all activities are conducted with health, safety, quality and environment management systems as well as corporate and local policies.
- Related duties other than those stipulated above will be assigned as and when required from time to time. Achieve or exceed annual agreed sales budget and margin objectives for the assigned territory or market segments while maintaining expenses within assigned budget guidelines.

- Develop business for gold/silver/bronze (high) accounts, incl. basket/ product selling, cross-selling and value based pricing.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry / Science related fields
- Above 4 years sales experience in Personal Care, HI&I, Fragrance ingredients
- Experience in distribution, chemical or other similar industry desirable
- Working experience with SAP or similar ERP system and CRM preferred but not essential
- An agile, highly collaborative, and early adopter mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Digitally savvy, self-motivated, ability to prioritise and take initiative, strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and plan and prioritise in an effective manner to achieve goals for sustainable results
- Excellent IT Skills and practical knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
