Position Title: Senior IT Operations Engineer

Job Family: Operations / eXpert Operation Center (XOC) / Technical

Reporting: Associate Manager, Technical Operations

Functions/Responsibilities:

A Senior IT Operation Engineer collaborates with the Technical Operations Manager to deliver Group IT Services, including planning, managing, and operating according to business needs; works with local leadership teams to manage daily operations and drive continuous service improvements across IT platforms.

This role also involves working with groups and local IT teams to develop and implement IT initiatives that align with operational and IT goals. This includes evaluating existing infrastructure, exploring available technologies, and recommending and implementing approved system and process improvements.

Oversee the overall flow of operations to ensure the desired results are achieved, different interests are satisfied, and the most efficient resources and methods are used. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Planning & Vendor Handling

  • Advice on key IT operations and infrastructure choices.
  • Lead IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee vendor contracts for support and maintenance.
  • Liaise and manage vendors and suppliers of IT equipment and telecommunication services and coordinate the procurement.

Operations

  • Manage daily IT operations and improvements.
  • Maintaining company IT-related resources to achieve maximum user satisfaction.
  • Manage back-end support, related equipment, connectivity and applications.
  • Maintain inventory of IT & Company equipment and applications and ensure the correct licensing of products.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis to identify and fix priority issues and manage improvement projects.
  • Part of office facilities coordinator, to maintain the efficient and smooth operations of the physical sites, by maintenance, and equipment functionality.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance.
  • Written and updated internal IT procedures and documentation.
  • Regularly update Management on status, achievements, and challenges.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate/regional practices, policies, and procedures.

Performance Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently with significant "attention to detail" with minimum supervision.
  • Target-driven spirit.
  • Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge.

Technology Competencies and Experience Requirements:

  • Driven and responsible professional.
  • Experienced with Hosting, AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
  • Skilled in backup solutions and disaster recovery.
  • Proficient in AD administration, Identity management, Microsoft Intune, and SharePoint.
  • Experienced in managing physical servers and data centers.
  • Knowledgeable in firewalls, routing, switching, and network security.
  • Strong troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, cloud services)
  • Technical skills include PowerShell scripting, virtualization, storage management, and network configuration.
  • Continuous learner with a positive attitude.

Education or Certification:

  • Minimum a Diploma in IT / Computer Studies or equivalent.
  • ITIL Foundation certified with 3+ years in ITIL Service Management
  • Good Spoken & Writing Proficiency in English.
