Job Description: Key Account Management Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Key Account Management

Manage and strengthen long-term partnerships with global tobacco leaders including BAT, PMI, JTI, and Imperial Brands, serving as a trusted materials supplier.

Develop and execute annual key account business plans that align with each customer's procurement strategies, supply chain priorities, and growth objectives.

Serve as the primary contact point for strategic accounts, ensuring high service levels, timely communication, and consistent value delivery.

2. Business Development & Negotiation

Lead commercial negotiations with key accounts on pricing, supply agreements, contracts, and long-term framework deals.

Identify and drive new material supply opportunities in collaboration with customer product development, innovation, and procurement teams.

Build pipeline opportunities for cross-market expansion, supporting accounts in both local and regional markets.

3. Sales & Marketing Execution

Ensure smooth execution of material supply, brand activation support, and trade-related programs where applicable, always aligned with customer strategies and regulatory standards.

Work with the marketing team to design and implement tailored value propositions for each global account, reinforcing supplier credibility and differentiation.

4. Data Analysis & Business Reporting

Monitor and analyze sales performance, supply volume, and share of wallet across BAT, JTI, PMI, and Imperial Brands.

Provide management with regular insights and reports on account performance, procurement trends, and risks/opportunities.

Track competitor movements within the tobacco materials supply chain to anticipate market shifts.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner with supply chain, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure consistent product quality, reliable supply, and compliance with global standards.

Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to secure timely order processing, delivery reliability, and collections.

6. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

Stay updated with tobacco industry regulations in Malaysia and export markets, ensuring all supply and commercial activities comply with legal and corporate governance.

Guarantee that all engagement with BAT, JTI, PMI, and Imperial Brands adheres to supplier standards, ethics, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

1. Education

Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.

2. Experience

Minimum 5–8 years in sales and key account management, with at least 3 years in tobacco materials supply chain or FMCG.

Direct experience managing accounts or supplier relationships with BAT, JTI, PMI, or Imperial Brands is highly preferred.

3. Skills

Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and supplier management expertise with multinational accounts.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of making data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in English and Malay; Mandarin is an added advantage for regional collaboration.

4. Personality

Results-driven, proactive, and highly self-motivated.

Strong communicator with the ability to influence decision-makers at senior levels.

Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional leadership.
