Specific Responsibilities
- To assist Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager in all operations aspects of the dormitory's day-to-day functions.
- To supervise closely cleaning and maintenance personnel to ensure the general cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance of the dormitory.
- To directly supervise security personnel and ensure that they fulfill their roles and responsibilities efficiently. In particular, to ensure that all registers in the security office i.e. occurrence book, daily handover and take over checklist, defect book, visitor check in and out, incident reporting, etc. are properly updated.
- To assist Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager in conducting orientation briefing to new staff reporting into the dormitory. To ensure that house rules, job description, and daily task and responsibilities are clearly explained to new staff.
- To assist Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager in conducting orientation briefing to new workers moving into the dormitory. To ensure that house rules, are clearly explained to new workers.
- To assist Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager in all aspects of checking-in of workers, i.e. obtaining of documents from prospective residents, processing of access passes, allocation of units to workers, checking-out of residents, etc.
- To ensure that all vacated units are repaired and refurbished on time, in order that new residents can move in within the minimum 'turn-around' time.
- With regards to requirements of ISO, to assist Management Representative to ensure that all company established procedures are adhered to.
- To familiarize residents with fire evacuation procedures and fire-fighting equipment. To conduct fire evacuation drills involving all residents at least twice annually.
- To assist Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager with implementing routine, preventive and mandatory servicing of all electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting equipment.
- To ensure that feedback from residents pertaining to defects is promptly attended to.
- To assist Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager in ensuring that the dormitory's turnstile system, CCTVs, common area electrical fittings, etc. are always serviceable.
- To attend to and resolve all disciplinary matters involving residents, i.e. violation of house rules, etc. and to liaise with their employers in resolving any disciplinary matters.
- To cover the duties of Accommodation Manager & Assistant Accommodation Manager and undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- To Assist the Accommodation Manager and Assistant Accommodation Manager in ensuring that the dormitory's utility bills are maintained within budget. Any anomalies or deviations resulting in higher or lower than usual usage should be identified, documented, and recorded accordingly.
- To monitor, collect and prepare data for sustainability reporting
Academic Qualification
- Min. Secondary School / SPM / STPM
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Able to write and converse in Malay and English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and lead a team
- Possesses own transport
Experience
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience
