The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hospital Lam Wah Ee's team as a Business Development Officer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to expand the Hospital's client base and continuously strengthening the Hospital's branding efforts. This full-time role is based on Penang Island.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage prospective clients to generate new leads and expand Hospital's client base
  • Contribute ideas, assist in planning and execute community events, health programs or campaigns across multiple channels to enhance the hospital's outreach and engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Assist in overseeing the Hospital's rebranding efforts and continuously evaluate the brand's performance to ensure it remains relevant and aligned with market demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Analyze and present market trends to understand customer needs, identify new opportunities and develop strategies to drive business growth.
  • Compile, prepare and present reports on the effectiveness of events, campaigns and programs, using data to suggest improvements and track progress.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mass Communication or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in business development or public relations, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in branding, campaigns, social media and public relations
  • Able to organize internal and external events and campaigns
  • Capable of working with corporate partners and maintaining good relationships
  • Proactive, creative and a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills
