Position Overview

A Site Engineer is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating all on-site construction activities to ensure the project is executed efficiently, safely, within budget, and according to the approved specifications, drawings, and standards. The role acts as a key link between project management, consultants, contractors, and the site workforce.

  1. Project Planning & Coordination

  2. Assist in planning daily site activities based on project schedule.

  3. Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  4. Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are available ahead of scheduled works.

  5. Site Supervision

  6. Supervise and monitor ongoing construction work to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  7. Inspect workmanship, materials, installation, and completed work.

  8. Resolve technical issues on-site and escalate complex issues to the Project Manager.

  9. Technical & Engineering Duties

  10. Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical documents.

  11. Prepare method statements, technical reports, and site measurements.
  12. Verify setting-out works, levels, dimensions, and alignment.

  13. Assist in conducting tests (e.g., concrete cube tests, soil compaction tests) and reviewing test results.

  14. Quality Assurance & Control

  15. Ensure all works comply with QA/QC procedures and relevant standards.

  16. Conduct regular inspections and prepare NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.

  17. Monitor and record workmanship quality and rectify deviations.

  18. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  19. Enforce site safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

  20. Participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and safety audits.

  21. Report incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly.

  22. Documentation & Reporting

  23. Maintain accurate site records, daily site reports, material usage, manpower monitoring, and work progress.

  24. Prepare weekly progress reports for management review.

  25. Assist with inspections by consultants, clients, and authorities.

  26. Stakeholder Communication

  27. Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  28. Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, issues, and resource needs.

  29. Address site queries and coordinate problem resolutions.

  30. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

To be based at Project Site Highway Kota Bharu-Kuala Krai (KBKK), Kuala Krai, Kg. Sepuluh, Kelantan.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
