Our client, a reputable listed group of companies with operations across Malaysia and ASEAN, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Human Resource to support their Group HR function. This role will cover key HR areas including Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and general HR operations.

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager – HR will work closely with the Senior Manager and be part of a 7-member HR team. The role manages HR activities for approximately 350 employees in Malaysia and supports up to 500 employees across ASEAN countries.

You will be responsible for strengthening people development initiatives, supporting total rewards programs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations across multiple business entities within the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Group-level Learning & Development (L&D) including training needs analysis, planning, coordination, and effectiveness tracking.
  • Assist in Compensation & Benefits (C&B) activities such as salary benchmarking, benefits administration, and rewards-related projects.
  • Perform HR generalist duties: recruitment, payroll coordination, employee engagement, HR reporting, and policy implementation.
  • Provide operational HR support to various entities within the Group.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager and HR team on continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of HR generalist experience, with hands-on exposure in recruitment, payroll, L&D, and basic C&B.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or construction environments is highly preferred.
  • Must come from a listed company or have experience working within a group of companies setup.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6, RM7,000.00 per month
