Student Services Executive (Counselling)

Key Responsibilities

· Provide individual and/or group counselling to the students with emotional, psychological, academic or personal development needs, and where appropriate, provide psychological assessment and intervention.

· Organize and conduct workshops and seminars that will assist students in their academic and career progression and personal and social development.

· Work with staff and academic lecturers to coordinate and promote various mental health awareness campaigns.

· Guide and provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) training where necessary.

· Attend to student's welfare, e.g. send students to hospital when necessary.

· Provide feedback to management on general issues/complaints/needs of students which may need to be addressed.

· Connect graduating students with recruiters/hiring companies.

· Maintain accurate counselling records and statistical data as required of the Department and other reports and ensure confidentiality at all times.

· Perform any other duties directed by the Head of Student Services Department.

Requirements

· Bachelor's/Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology or a related field.

· Relevant  certification or registration with the Board of Counsellors in Malaysia

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a university setting (experience in university is an added

advantage).

· Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent proficiency in English both spoken and written.

· High degree of professionalism, empathy, and ethical practice.
