About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Clerk - Air Import to join our team at Worldgate Express Services Sdn Bhd in George Town, Penang. This full-time role will be responsible for handling all aspects of air import freight forwarding, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods for our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Process air import freight documentation and prepare necessary paperwork
  • Coordinate with airlines, customs authorities, and other logistics providers to facilitate the clearance and delivery of imported goods
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all air import freight movements
  • Liaise with clients to provide status updates and address any queries or concerns
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis of air import freight data
  • Support the wider freight forwarding team as required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a freight forwarding or logistics environment, preferably in an air import role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in the use of freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of air freight regulations and documentation requirements
