Job Responsibilities

As a Sustainability Officer, you will support the company's commitment to sustainable, safe, and compliant terminal operations. Key responsibilities include:

Sustainability & Compliance
  • Coordinate and implement sustainability initiatives across Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) pillars.

  • Ensure continuous compliance with sustainability and quality certifications, which may include:

  • RSPO, MSPO, ISCC, ISO Standards

  • HACCP, GMP+, Kosher, FDA
  • Conduct regular internal audits, documentation checks, and gap analysis to ensure compliance readiness.
Environmental & Operational Support
  • Monitor environmental performance indicators (energy usage, emissions, waste, water management).
  • Support improvement programs to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Assist in environmental reporting, sustainability data tracking, and submission to authorities or certification bodies.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, SHE, quality, engineering) to drive sustainability initiatives.
  • Liaise with external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for optimization in resource usage and operational sustainability.
  • Support training and awareness programs for staff on sustainability practices and compliance standards.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in sustainability, compliance, quality management, or terminal operations is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with sustainability certifications (RSPO, MSPO, ISCC, ISO, HACCP, GMP+, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willing to travel within the facility and support audit activities.
