About the role
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the sales strategy and joint business plan with the assigned key accounts (majorly pharmacy chains, modern trade retailers, specialty stores, dealers, or distributors). This full-time position is based in Puchong, Selangor, and to achieve sales & profitability target, drive brand growth for our personal care (agency non-food) portfolio, established strategic partnership with key customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
- Achieve sales targets for assigned customers and brands.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive strategic initiatives to grow sales, improve visibility, and expand distribution across channels (offline & online).
- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key customers in line with the brand's GTM strategy.
- Manage new product listings and launches to ensure strong sell-through.
- Oversee trade negotiations, pricing, and commercial operations to maximize profitability.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and competitor activities; work with marketing to identify gaps and improvement plans.
- Conduct ROI analysis on promotions and trade investments, recommending optimization where needed.
- Plan and monitor trade marketing funds (A&P) to support promotional activities.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to ensure sufficient stock and minimize out-of-stock risks.
- Handle conflict resolution and maintain strong customer partnerships.
- Identify new market opportunities for brand and category expansion.
What we're looking for
- Diploma / Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of key account experiences in Personal Care, Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceutical industry (OTC) or FMCG.
- Proven track record of managing & growing Key Accounts or Pharmacy chains in Malaysia (e.g.: Watsons, Guardian, Big, Caring, Alpro, Healthlane, AA Pharmacy chain, etc.)
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skill.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively manage executed projects.
- Creative to identify alternative approaches and strong in problem solutions skills.
- Digital savvy and proficient in MS office & Power BI applications.
- Travelling is required
