The Position
HOYA Vision Care Malaysia is seeking a seasoned HR Manager to lead and strengthen the Human Resources function, supporting approximately 150 employees across two entities: Commercial and RX Production Lab. This role requires a hands-on HR professional with strong operational expertise and the ability to independently design and execute strategic HR programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Development, driving a People Agenda that aligns with business priorities, enhances organizational performance, and fosters a culture of engagement, agility, and continuous growth. ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
- Collaborate with local leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and strategic talent initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and change management.
- Champion organizational effectiveness and support transformation and cultural alignment.
Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness
- Conduct training needs analysis and implement targeted development programs.
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development efforts.
- Drive initiatives that enhance organizational capability, agility, and performance.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee payroll, employee lifecycle processes, and HRIS maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and internal policies.
- Manage HR audits, disciplinary actions, and industrial relations matters.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and competency profiles.
- Build strong employer branding and candidate experience.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and implement engagement strategies that reinforce company values.
- Facilitate employee feedback mechanisms and internal communications.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Budgeting
- Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
- Manage headcount planning and labor cost budgeting.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor's / university degree, preferably in HR or Business Administration
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of related HR experience
- Hands-on experience in HR operations, Talent Acquisition, Performance management, Talent Management, Training & Development, and Change management.
- Strong knowledge of Employment law
- Excellent communication skills in English. Other international languages are an added advantage
