About the role

Mal-Autonics Sensor Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of advanced sensor solutions, is seeking dynamic and talented Sales Engineers to join our team based in Penang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving new business development, building strong relationships with key customers, and contributing to the growth and success of our sensor technology offerings.

What you'll be doing

  1. Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the market
  2. Engage with potential customers to understand their requirements and propose tailored sensor solutions
  3. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations
  4. Negotiate contract terms and close sales deals
  5. Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business
  6. Collaborate with the technical team to provide post-sales support and resolve customer issues
  7. Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably in the sensor or automation industry
  3. Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain complex sensor technologies
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively
  5. Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to provide tailored solutions
  6. Familiarity with the Penang market and existing customer relationships would be an advantage
