Job Description: Sales Engineer (various locations)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineers to join our team. The Sales Engineer will act as a bridge between the technical and sales teams, using technical knowledge to support customers, identify solutions, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a strong mix of engineering expertise, problem-solving ability, and customer relationship management.


Pre-requisite

  • Position: Sales Engineers – possessed car
  • Location: Penang and Johor Bahru
  • Working Hours: 5 days, Monday - Friday, 9.00am-6.00pm
  • Salary: (MYR 5,000 – MYR 7,000) Negotiable
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Industry: Medical, Electronics and Automotives

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their technical and business needs.
  • Present, promote, and sell products/solutions using strong technical knowledge and persuasive communication.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals.
  • Prepare and deliver technical/commercial quotations, tender documents, and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring profitability and compliance.
  • Provide after-sales support, troubleshooting assistance, and technical guidance.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer needs.
  • Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence to management.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the company's growth strategy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field preferred).
  • Proven experience (2–5+ years) in technical sales, business development, or application engineering.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn product specifications and applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CRM tools experience is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
