Job Purpose

Gas Malaysia Berhad is seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our Corporate Strategy Division under the Strategy section. This role is key in supporting the company's growth strategy through market research, opportunity assessment, feasibility study support, and stakeholder coordination. The position offers exposure to strategic planning, investment evaluation, and commercial analysis, contributing directly to Gas Malaysia's long-term business growth and innovation agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, customer needs, regulatory developments, and competitor activities.
  • Provide insights to support new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.

Opportunity Assessment

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities through strategic fit assessments and market sizing.
  • Support initial commercial analysis and opportunity screening processes.

Feasibility Study Support

  • Contribute to the preparation of business cases and feasibility studies, including financial modeling, benchmarking, and data gathering.
  • Support cross-functional teams during project evaluation and review stages.

Business Proposal Preparation

  • Prepare drafts of business proposals, presentation decks, and investment briefs.
  • Support deal structuring, documentation, and approval processes.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure alignment and progress of business development activities.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions.

Data & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor project progress, pipeline activities, and business KPIs.
Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field with minimum Degree CGPA 3.00/above.
  • Professional certifications in business analysis, project management, or related areas are an added advantage.

Working Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, strategy, market research, or commercial roles, preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Exposure to feasibility studies, investment evaluation, or strategic planning is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities with commercial awareness.
  • Basic proficiency in financial modeling and feasibility analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
