Job Description

  • Assist in preparing a full and complete set of shipping documents for both import and export ocean shipments, including but not limited to Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, permits, and any other required documents.
  • Check and verify the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all shipping documentation, ensuring timely submission to forwarding agents, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities to avoid clearance delays, demurrage, or storage charges.
  • Update, maintain, and monitor shipping logs, spreadsheets, and tracking reports to ensure shipment statuses are accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for internal reference.
  • Liaise with Customs Malaysia, MITI, and other regulatory bodies for updates on regulations, permit requirements, tariffs, and any procedural changes affecting import/export activities.
  • Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, transporters, warehouse teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth cargo movement, timely dispatch, and prompt delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in shipping, forwarding, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate assertiveness, and show strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possess good organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of logistics or shipping systems/software will be an added advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and committed to maintaining accuracy in documentation and compliance.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Klang Utama, Klang (Selangor).
