About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team at T.A.S Leisure Sdn. Bhd. in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in our procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring we maintain optimal stock levels and secure the best possible deals for our growing business.

What you'll be doing

1. Procurement Operations

  • Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate price, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company policies.
  • Ensure all purchases meet budgetary guidelines and compliance requirements.

2. Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new, reliable vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service.
  • Resolve issues related to delayed or defective supplies.

3. Inventory & Stock Monitoring

  • Coordinate with the warehouse/operations to ensure stock levels are sufficient.
  • Prevent overstocking or stockouts by monitoring demand and usage trends.

4. Cost Control & Reporting

  • Monitor market price trends and adjust sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare cost comparison reports for management approval.
  • Assist in budget planning and support cost-saving initiatives.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company SOPs and procurement policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Support audit requirements by keeping proper procurement documentation.

6. Cross-Department Coordination

  • Liaise with accounts for supplier payments.
  • Coordinate with operations, production, or F&B team for material requirements.
  • Support Halal / quality assurance team by ensuring suppliers meet required standards (especially in food-related businesses).

What we're looking for

1.    Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, or related field.

2.    Experience

  • Entry-level roles may accept fresh graduates.
  • Preferably 1–3 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, hospitality, or F&B is an added advantage.

3.    Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze pricing, market trends, and cost control.
  • Integrity and accountability in financial dealings.
