This role reports to the Head of Product and Business Development
Job Purpose
The Product Development & Business Development Executive will be responsible for managing both new and selected existing medical device products. This role focuses on sourcing and adapting products for the local market, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving business development initiatives to grow sales and market share. The position requires strong coordination with suppliers, regulatory teams, sales, and marketing to ensure products are successfully introduced, positioned, and sustained in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Management
- Identify and evaluate new medical device opportunities from international suppliers.
- Adapt products (packaging, labeling, instructions) for local market needs and regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory teams with technical documentation for Medical Device Authority submissions.
- Monitor product lifecycle and propose enhancements
Business Development (Existing Products)
- Assist sales and marketing teams in driving adoption of current medical device portfolio.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Engage with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and distributors to promote product benefits and differentiation.
- Provide product training and technical support to sales teams and customers.
- Track sales performance and customer feedback, recommending commercial strategies for improvement.
Cross-Functional & Supplier Coordination
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality standards, timely supply, and product customization.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and product presentations.
- Support customer education initiatives, workshops, and product demonstrations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related field.
Experience
:
1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or product and business development within the medical device/healthcare sector.
Skills:
· Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate technical features into market benefits.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
