About the role

As a Senior Procurement Executive/Engineer at Mewah Group, you will play a crucial role in the company's purchasing and procurement operations. This full-time position, based in Pulau Indah, Selangor, Malaysia, is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods and services to support the company's manufacturing and logistics activities.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable pricing and terms
  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and issuing purchase orders
  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels to meet production and distribution requirements
  • Analyse and report on procurement data to identify cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the manufacturing or food industries
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Proficient in the use of procurement and inventory management software
  • Knowledge and audit experience in FSSC/ HACCP /ISO/GMP+
