Responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics and supply chain operations specific to a construction site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute logistics plans specific to the construction site, including procurement, transportation, and on-site distribution.
  • Oversee and coordinate all logistics activities, ensuring smooth supply chain management for substation construction projects.
  • Collaborate with the central procurement team to ensure the timely acquisition of construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors specific to the site.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for on-site materials and equipment.
  • Optimize on-site stock levels to prevent shortages and minimize carrying costs.
  • Coordinate the efficient on-site distribution and storage of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure materials are readily available for construction teams.
  • Oversee the transportation of materials and equipment to the construction site, coordinating with transportation providers.
  • Monitor and maintain transportation schedules to meet construction project timelines.
  • Control and monitor expenses related to on-site logistics and transportation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries in line with project schedules

JOB REQUIREMENT

Educational Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Certification in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in logistics management, with at least 3 years in the construction industry or a similar field.
  2. Proven experience in managing logistics for large-scale construction projects, preferably substation building or infrastructure projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, supply chain management, and materials management.
  4. Experience in Engineering Construction Industry/Sector is an advantage.
  5. Proficiency in logistics and inventory management process.
  6. Base at Site (Klang Valley)
  7. Willing to be relocated in line with project requirements

Skills:

  1. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple logistics operations simultaneously.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating with suppliers and coordinating across departments.
  3. Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office, and other project management tools.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage logistics-related challenges proactively.
  5. Ability to analyse logistics data and generate reports to support decision-making.
