Logistics Manager

The Manager I – Logistics will oversee the full spectrum of warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, inventory control, outbound, distribution and returns. This role requires strong management skills, regulatory awareness and hands-on operational capability to establish and maintain an efficient, compliant and customer-focused warehouse operation. This position plays a key role in ensuring adherence to Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD) and meeting customer expectations of fast pick pack and delivery operation

Activities & responsibilities supporting each area

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily warehouse activities: receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance in all warehouse transactions and documentation.
• Maintain optimal warehouse layout, storage systems, equipment utilization and space planning.
• Compliance & Quality
• Ensure full compliance with GDPMD, internal SOPs, audit requirements and Medical Device Authority (MDA) Oversee and ensure product quality is not compromised during handling and storage

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Manage and optimise Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring proper scanning, documentation and data accuracy.
• Track and report warehouse KPIs (inventory accuracy, OTIF, error rate, cycle times).
• Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure competency, teamwork, productivity and safety.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations for the team.
• Oversee manpower planning, rostering and discipline management.

People Management

Safety & Risk Management

• Enforce safety procedures, compliance with PPE, material-handling guidelines and incident reporting.
• Conduct regular safety briefings, risk assessments and corrective actions for non-compliance
• Logistics Coordination
• Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and internal stakeholders for seamless inbound and outbound operations.
• Support import/export processes, shipment documentation and delivery scheduling.

Work Experience & Qualification

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing or supervising warehouse operations; experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Working experience of handling serial-controlled and batch-controlled stocks both bulky and cartons. We are open to review applications from outside med devices background such as heavy equipment / automobile / semiconductors / home appliances industry which have a large variety of SKUs.
• Strong knowledge of GDPMD, quality compliance and warehouse best practices.
• Proficient with WMS and well-versed in inventory management and data accuracy.
• Demonstrated people management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• GDPMD/GDP/GMP training or certification.
• Experience in setting up a new warehouse or implementing new warehouse processes.
• Experience handling temperature-sensitive or high-value medical devices.
