Job description

1. Technical Advisory Services

Ensuring accurate advice and review on customer in-house gas facilities design referring to standard and codes requirement as well as preparing proposal on customer in-house gas reticulation system to ensure safe and reliable customer in-house gas system in accordance with authority, standard and codes requirement.

2. Customer Support Services

Ensuring accurate advice and assistance to the customers on gas facilities commissioning, conversion works, troubleshooting, maintenance work and equipment efficiency test to ensure safe commissioning, successful conversion works and effective gas utilization.

3. Safety Awareness Services

Providing safety briefing and carrying out safety inspection on customer gas installation and facilities to promote safety awareness and safe handling of gas equipment in line with the authority and industry requirement converting to natural gas and LPG.

4. Special Task/Project

Exploring and adopting emerging technologies, enhancing product utilization, while driving operational efficiency through digitalization initiatives.

5.Liaison with Authority

Liaising with the authority on gas equipment and piping installation requirements and procedures to ensure gas system design and operations meet authority requirements and to maintain good relationship with authority.

6. Budget

Prepare, propose and control Technical Support GMRS annual budget in order to ensure optimum budget for implementation of Technical Support activities and investment of new projects.

7.Procurement

Preparing BQ/BOM/Scope of work, planning, procuring and installation of gas facilities and other related accessories for storage/service station/PRU to ensure timely delivery of the item/services.

8.Gas Equipment Testing

Experiment, test, demonstrate and research on gas related equipment and utilization to ensure improvement, understanding and progress of gas utilization.

9.Training

Train, motivate and develop subordinates to improve competencies and knowledge for delivering the quality service.

10.Instrument Calibration & Maintenance

Calibrate and maintain instrument and tools to ensure the instruments and tools are always in good condition and within the calibration period.

11.Responsibility Towards Safety and Health

Perform duties in a safe and healthy manner. Working according and always complying with the Safety and Health rules, procedures, and practices to have safe, healthy, and conductive working environment.

12.Responsibility Towards Information Security Management System (ISMS)

Responsible for protecting Gas Malaysia's information assets and ensure that all breaches of information security, actual or suspected are reported to ensure that confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information is maintained; information is accessible to all employees according to business need and is protected against unauthorized access and at the same time meeting the contractual, regulatory and legislative requirements.

13.Responsibility Towards Environment Management System

Responsible to promote and marketing the supply of natural gas to industrial customer in Peninsular Malaysia in reducing global warming gas emission of CO2 to the atmosphere by reducing consumption in heavy fuels.

• Knowledge in gas utilization/ conversion technology and gas system design.
• Familiarity with codes, standard practice, and authority's requirement.
• Must visibly demonstrate commitment to ethical conduct and must have the hands-on capabilities and understanding to provide leadership to the business and instill a culture of operational excellence.
