Assistant Supervisor, Operations

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Bulk Shipment Export: Plan, arrange, and oversee outgoing bulk shipments to meet timelines and minimize costs.
  • Bulk Shipment Import: Manage incoming shipments, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with requirements.
  • Documents Coordination: Handle customs forms, health certificate applications, and surveyor reports to ensure proper documentation.
  • Pipeline Planning & Arrangement: Organize and schedule pipeline operations for efficient shipment flow.
  • Operational Management: Coordinate internally and externally to ensure smooth shipment operations with strong teamwork and technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience: Preferable 1–2 years of relevant work experience in shipment operations. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Education: STPM / Diploma in Shipping, Maritime, Transportation, Logistics Management, or related field preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively.
  • Work Schedule: Working in shift.

  • Technical knowledge in logistics and shipment operations.
  • Planning skills to manage timelines and minimize costs.
  • Teamwork coordination across internal departments and external partners.
  • Computer literacy for documentation, reporting, and operational planning.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to be in standby mode at Johor Port as required.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and challenging operational conditions.
  • Able to work shifts and respond promptly to urgent operational needs.
  • Strong resilience and adaptability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail in documentation — able to prepare, check, and manage shipment-related paperwork accurately.
