Senior Executive, Finance

· General Ledger Management

· Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger (GL) with correct accounting code.

· Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries related to general ledger adjustments, reclassifications, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring balances reconcile with financial statements.

· Ensure all GL accounts are reconciled to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.

· Month-End & Year-End Closing

· Support timely month-end and year-end closing including checking account balances, reconciliations, and adjustments.

· Perform monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts (cash, receivables, payables, inventory, fixed assets) and resolve discrepancies.

· Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits.

· Financial Reporting

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) by providing necessary GL and account reconcile.

· Asist in the preparation of management reports at monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals including SLT reports and accompanying commentaries, highlighting variances, trends, and insights to support management decision-making.

· Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing significant discrepancies.

· Account Reconciliation & Monitoring

· Reconcile all the GL accounts, including intercompany and bank balances, ensuring accuracy and proper recorded.

· Maintain complete supporting records for reconciliations, adjustments, and journal entries for reference and audit purposes.

· Liaise with auditors by providing required schedules, explanations, and documentation as needed.

· Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Control

· Provide historical GL data and insights to support preparation of budgets and monthly forecasts.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate, relevant, and reliable for planning purposes.

· Perform variance analysis on annual and 5 years budgets for justification, highlighting key cost drivers such as volume changes, pricing and operational strategies.

· Prepare commentary to management on budget trends and financial control measures to support decision-making

· Review and process budget transfers to ensure consistency with departmental allocations and company objectives.

· Asset Accounting & Fixed Asset Management

· Oversee depreciation processes (e.g., AFAB in SAP) and ensure accurate posting in financial records.

· Maintain and update fixed asset (PPE) listings, including additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments.

· Maintain and monitor Intangible Assets (IA) listings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Compliance & Continuous Improvement

· Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements across all reporting.

· Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

· Updated on industry practices and accounting developments to strengthen reporting processes.

· Ad-Hoc & Special Assignments

· Support financial system enhancements, process improvement projects, and cross-functional initiatives.

· Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by management.

· Others

· To achieve compliance with HALAL requirements, ISO requirements such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, cGmp and GDP requirements such as PIC/S, US-FDA, GMP, EU-GDP, local regulatory and third-party principal requirement.

Undertake other assignments from management to contribute to departmental and company goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM5,500.00 per month
