Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (Executive Level) to join our landscape construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs, preparing tenders, and ensuring budget control for a variety of softscape and hardscape projects. This role requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with landscaping materials, external works, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, bills of quantities (BQ), and cost estimates specific to landscape works (softscape, hardscape, irrigation, etc.).
  • Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage variation orders.
  • Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for landscaping materials and services.
  • Conduct site measurements and prepare progress claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and site teams to align project execution with budget and specifications.
  • Attend project meetings and site inspections to ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Manage procurement schedules and track delivery of landscape materials and services.
  • Ensure all works comply with contract requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • 2–5 years of working experience, preferably in landscape construction or external works.
  • Strong understanding of softscape, hardscape, and landscape irrigation materials and pricing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites if required.
