About the role

As the Chief Executive Officer at Technology Depository Agency Berhad, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to the organization. This is a contract role based in Cyberjaya, Selangor.

What you'll be doing

  • To cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders such as industry partners, technology innovators, government agencies, research institutions, and international partners.
  • To maintain a deep understanding and explore potentials of the current and emerging industrial landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities relevant to organization and its partners.
  • To champion technological innovation initiatives, oversee project development, and facilitate knowledge transfer to accelerate industry adoption of new technologies.
  • To develop and execute the organization's strategic plan to advance industry and technology development objectives.
  • To shape organization positioning and influence within the evolving industrial landscape, including digital transformation, sustainability, and emerging opportunities.
  • To oversee daily operations to ensure organizational efficiency and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance standards.
  • To oversee the organization's financial health, including budgeting, resource allocation, collection, and financial reporting.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Statistics, Management (Technology), or Business Administration.
  • PhD/ Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 20 years of working experience.
  • Proven senior leadership experience at minimum of 3 years, preferably as CEO or at least in a C-suite role, ideally within technology, industrial development, or related sectors.
  • Strong organizational insight, demonstrated through a comprehensive understanding of the company's internal structure, governance and operational systems, enabling effective leadership within complex environments.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • High-level diplomacy, confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and strategic thinking skills.
  • Commitment to integrity, transparency and good governance.
