JOB SUMMARY

The Billing Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the hospital's billing department. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of patient billing and insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. The Billing Assistant works closely with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other hospital departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper) for hospital services.

  2. Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness prior to billing.

  3. Follow up on unpaid or denied insurance claims; initiate appeals as necessary.

  4. Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, account balances, and payment plans.

  5. Verify patient insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements.

  6. Maintain accurate records of billing activities and communications.

  7. Ensuring all open bills must be closed in the period of duty except for valid reason.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM1, RM1,800.00 per month
