About the client:
Our client is an integrated technology and solutions provider primarily operating in the oil & gas, energy, maritime and utilities sector.
Since its incorporation in 1984, our client has grown from a Malaysian company, to a group of 13 subsidiaries and associate companies, actively operating in the South East Asian region and beyond.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with and support the ED of HR, Group CEO, Directors and the Senior Management team to make an effective contribution to the strategic direction of the Group from a HR perspective
- Develop and implement strategies and policies which fully support the delivery of the Group's vision, ensuring that we fully utilize and develop the skills and talents of all staff within Group in an efficient manner
- Ensure that the Group's HR policies and practice conform to legislative and regulatory requirements and uphold our internal business standards and corporate ethos and policies
- Ensure that the HR team works as a business partner to all divisions, coaching and supporting to improve performance management throughout the Group and advising on performance and development issues
- Provide confidential HR and employment law guidance to Managers and ensure that all employee relations matters are professionally carried out
- Refine and support the Group's approach to driving positive change and organizational development, based on the values of the Group
- Ensure appropriate systems and practice are in place for recruitment, supervision, performance management of all staff, as well as grievance processes
- Manage the Group's people management information systems to ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance
- Oversee HR/internal communications and employee surveys
- Ensure that the Group is proactively compliant with all HSE legislation and regulations and that staff are adequately supported to meet their obligations
- Lead and motivate the HR team to provide professional and high quality service to the Group
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in a Group or large corporate environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, organizational development expertise, and proven ability to drive HR transformation initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, HR best practices, and HSE compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
