Roles & Responsibilities:


Oversees and directs the day to day operation of Housekeeping Department and assists in the forward planning of the department.


  • Directs the work assignment of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel
  • Monitors Housekeeping personnel to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service
  • Monitor Housekeeping personnel to ensure rooms, and particularly those of priority members, known repeat guests and other VIP's receive special attention
  • Informs other operating departments of Housekeeping matters, which concern notably the Front Office, to ensure accurate room status, in addition to communicating with Engineering and the Laundry
  • Schedules routine inspections by supervisors, of all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied rooms
  • Inspects guest rooms in all Housekeeping areas on a regular basis to ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced / refurbished as required
  • Appraise appearance, discipline and efficiency of all staff under direct supervision and initiate immediate remedial action if necessary
  • Follows up on progress of agenda items covered in regular meetings
  • Ensures Housekeeping personnel are familiar with in house facilities for the purpose of assisting guests
  • Maintains a steady flow of communication to the Executive Housekeeper on all matters affecting the Housekeeping Department
  • Supervises outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance
  • Strives to meet commitments to others despite difficulties or obstacles
  • Closely monitors goals, acting promptly to help goals be achieved
  • Checks work in a careful manner to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Follows through on tasks and takes steps to deliver high quality work1. To ensure that all Departmental Operations Manuals are prepared and updated annually.
  • To ensure that all Housekeeping forms, missing items, inventory control and reports are forwarded in time to the Head of Department
  • To ensure accurate maintenance of maintenance schedules and other relevant documents.
  • To ensure that all meetings are well planned, efficient and result oriented.
  • To conduct daily operations briefing with the Executive Housekeeper.
  • To ensure that deadlines on all projects are met.
  • Counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
  • Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations
  • Assists with the efficient rostering of housekeeping staff in-line with labor costs

Requirements:

  • Min 6 years working experience and well knowledge in Housekeeping field
  • Should have basic understanding of laundry machines, chemicals, linen control and inventory experiences
  • Knowledge in conducting trainings
  • Computer literate familiar with department related reports & forms
  • Good communication in both Bahasa & English
Leadership skill

Pay:
RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
